Data Deletion

Last updated:

If you removed DMBud from your Instagram settings

When you remove DMBud from your Instagram app permissions, Instagram automatically notifies us and we delete your connected account's access token and stored data right away — no further action is needed from you. You can check the status of that automatic deletion using the confirmation link Instagram shows you when you remove the app.

If you're a DMBud workspace owner

You can remove a connected Instagram account or store yourself at any time:

  1. Sign in to your DMBud workspace.
  2. Go to Connections.
  3. Click Disconnect next to the Instagram account or store you want to remove.

This immediately and permanently deletes the stored access token/credentials for that connection. To delete your entire workspace and account data, email us at privacy@dmbud.app from your account's email address with the subject "Delete my account" — we will confirm deletion within 30 days.

If you commented on a post handled by DMBud

If a business using DMBud replied to your Instagram comment, and you'd like the comment/reply data we processed removed, email privacy@dmbud.app with the comment or post link and we will locate and delete the associated record.

What gets deleted

  • The Instagram access token for the disconnected account.
  • The connected store's API credentials, for a disconnected store.
  • Comment/DM processing records tied to the deleted connection (commenter ID, username, and comment text are cleared).

Billing records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them (e.g. tax/accounting law), even after other data is deleted.
